Beer
Beer is a regulated alcoholic drink that is subject to laws in many countries worldwide, and in some cases, is even prohibited. However, while there are existing regulations governing the production and distribution of beer, Serialization and Track&Trace regulations have yet to be widely adopted in the industry. Nevertheless, an increasing number of countries are introducing these regulations. The beer industry faces several challenges when implementing Serialization and Track&Trace measures, even with low to medium levels of regulatory complexity. These challenges include large production volumes, ultra-high production line speeds, the use of various materials and consumer package form-factors, and complex distribution practices. To ensure compliance with regulations and protect their businesses, manufacturers and distributors must address these challenges and consider the most effective and efficient ways to implement Serialization and Track&Trace.
Here we show you diagrams of the work processes and regulations in the various countries with which our solution complies. You can open each regulation and see a detailed description of all processes.

The roadmap for beer products' serialization is still being finalized, just prior to the mandatory serialization of beer kegs on April 1st, 2023, in Russia. Six months later, glass and polymeric packages will also need to be serialized, with other types of packages being added gradually from 2024. It is important to note that information about the production and movement of beer products must also be reported to the government system EGAIS, which monitors the production and turnover of alcohol. This can double the burden on business and can make traceability implementation projects rather complicated. Partial retail sales of beer from kegs becomes mandatory 9.5 months after the serialization start date.

The beer market in Uzbekistan was previously characterized by a large number of counterfeit alcohol products and illegal production. Serialization for alcoholic beverages and wine started on January 1st, 2021, followed by the inclusion of aluminum packages. The next phase included aggregation, with information provided in invoices. The importing report is expected to be substituted by an aggregation importing code. The traceability regulation of beer is not specific in comparison with other industries.
